History

Founded in 2002, Pondscapes of Charlotte is a Design/Build Water Feature Company, specializing in backyard retreats. Based in Charlotte, NC, we serve primarily the Southern Piedmont and Northern South Carolina regions, although we have installed water features throughout the United States, including Colorado, Illinois, Georgia, and Florida. In 2006, we formed an alliance with Pike Family Nursery in Ballantyne through Aquascapes, Inc’s Water Gardening Excellence Program, where we train staff, teach seminars, construct water features and promote the lifestyle water features bring. In the Charlotte area, Pondscapes of Charlotte is known as the place to go when the project must be done right--the first time!

Meet the Team:

	Dave Blocksom President, a.k.a. "The Pond Pro" From his early years of catching frogs and tadpoles in area streams to leading Charlotte’s top water feature service and installation company, water has always been a passion of Dave’s. With his BBA degree from Wilmington College combined with his creative talents, Dave founded Pondscapes of Charlotte in 2002.
	Sally Blocksom Office Manager After receiving her BA degree from Penn State University, Sally headed West to Santa Barbara, CA. A career with the airlines landed her back in PA where she met Dave Blocksom, “The Pond Pro.” Sally’s passion is her family—she and Dave have two wonderful teenagers. In her free time, Sally enjoys spending quiet time relaxing by her water garden.
	Ken Walls Operations Manager Ken is a devout Christian with a passion for the outdoors. He and his wife enjoy traveling and visiting all of God’s creations. His hobbies include writing, ironwork and whitewater rafting. Ken feels fortunate to be working in a position that allows him to use his creativity in a hands-on environment.
	Angel Contreras Certified Master Waterfall Builder A native of Honduras. While not building killer waterfalls, Angel enjoys all animals, coaching futbol and spending time with his son, Alex. In 2007 Angel earned the title of “Certified Master Waterfall Builder”.
